Inventory and Procurement Analyst

Elstree - £35k Per Year

Our client is a leading provider of pathology services, delivering innovative diagnostics and value to healthcare. they maintain high standards of quality and efficiency through expert workforce planning and investment in technology.


About the Role:

We are seeking a data-driven Inventory and Procurement Analyst to join our laboratory services team. You will play a key role in optimising our supply chain by analysing data, identifying trends, and implementing process improvements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive insights into supply chain performance through data analysis
  • Identify and implement procurement process improvements
  • Provide routine and ad hoc information to support management decisions
  • Forecast supply and demand
  • Maintain product master data
  • Raise and track purchase orders
  • Receipt deliveries and update ERP system
  • Analyse supplier portfolios and negotiate pricing
  • Monitor product price changes
  • Coordinate product sourcing and supplier approval
  • Work with lab support to monitor standing orders
  • Identify aged and obsolete stock
  • Assist with inventory audits
  • Create and update reports
  • Produce and monitor inventory metrics
  • Undertake root cause and trend analysis


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in stock management, diagnostics products desirable
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Extensive experience in supply chain, procurement, or related field
  • Strong data interpretation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
